| OSJD - Organisation for Cooperation between Railways is an international organisation founded on 28 June 1956 in Sofia (Republic of Bulgaria) by the ministers in charge of railway transport. The OSJD Ministers Conference is the supreme OSJD governing body. The Ministers Conference considers and takes decisions at the governmental level concerning all matters related to the OSJD field of activities, taking into account the proposals of the OSJD Railway General Directors Conference. The OSJD Committee is the executive body of the Organization. It exercises control over OSJD activities in the period between the sessions of the Ministers Conference and General Directors Conference meetings. As of June 2023, OSJD unites 30 countries of Europe and Asia, 4 railway companies have observer status, and 36 companies and organizations directly involved in the railway activities have the status of an affiliated OSJD enterprise.
