Training on Aircraft Continuing Airworthiness monitoring (ACAM), Kyiv, 7-10 October 2013
The objective of this activity was to provide airworthiness inspectors training as practiced in the EU in the train the trainers formula to fulfil the requirements for the smooth and sustainable implementation of the EU aviation acquis in the field of air safety. Based on EU continuing airworthiness rules, competent authorities are required to develop a survey programme to monitor the airworthiness status of the fleet of aircraft under their register, referred to as ACAM. The survey programme shall be developed by selecting a relevant sample of aircraft and shall include an aircraft survey, focusing on a number of Key Risk Elements (KRE).13 participants from 7 beneficiary states (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Kirgizstan, Kazakhstan) successfully completed the course.
