The results of the implementation of the first phase of the Pilot Project of the Global Transit Document (GTrD) were considered

Among the WG participants there were representatives of state bodies, customs departments of interested member countries of the MLA TRACECA - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA, Mr. Assavbayev A.A. delivered a welcoming speech and expressed gratitude to the countries that are actively involved in piloting of this initiative.

During the Meeting, the participants of the Working Group a video film were demonstrated and prepared by the International Center for Transport Diplomacy (ICTD) - a report on the work carried out on the Global Transit Document (GTrD) as well as the results achieved under the first phase of the pilot project.

In addition, within the framework of the presentation, the Executive Secretary of the ICTD, Mr. Igor Runov, shared information about the current problems in global supply chains, the advantages and benefits of the Digital Global Transit Network, the dNet ecosystem, the structure and content of the second phase of the pilot project (“Road Map”) and further Plan.

As a result of the discussions, the WG participants expressed their gratitude to the interested countries - participants for supporting of the project and assistance in the implementation of concrete steps, approved the transition to the implementation of the second phase of the GTrD pilot project and the proposed steps for its implementation. In addition, the countries noted the expediency of applying to international agencies and regional development banks with a request for technical assistance for the successful implementation of the tasks of the second phase.
