On February 10, 2023, during the Anniversary Meeting of the IGC TRACECA, a Memorandum of Cooperation was solemnly signed between the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA represented by Secretary General, Mr. Assavbayev A. and the Association of Legal Entities of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (ALE IA TITR) represented by Secretary General, Mr. Abdikerimov G.
The signatories agreed on jointly expanding mutually beneficial cooperation for the development of transport routes, attraction of foreign trade goods and cargo turnover, mutual exchange of transport-related information and strengthening socio-economic conditions in the regions of Europe, the Caucasus and Asia, which will ultimately create a favorable entrepreneurial and investment climate.
The signing ceremony took place during the Sixteenth Annual Meeting of the IGC TRACECA in Tbilisi. Mr. Davitashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, noted: "Cooperation between the PS IGC TRACECA and ALE TITR under the signed Memorandum of Cooperation will contribute to the progress in promoting transport sustainability and joint work on further improving the transport routes of the corridor, as well as contribute to the development of transport infrastructure issues and facilitation of procedures."
The Memorandum of Cooperation will contribute to the development of the transport sector in the region, expand transport opportunities and serve as a new impetus for the promotion of transport links in the region.
