Prospects for the implementation of initiatives are at the centre of discussions between TRACECA and the Georgian side

The main objective of the visit is to discuss the current action plan and vision on the status of the implementation of projects and initiatives in accordance with the adopted Final Resolutions of the IGC TRACECA and prospects for further cooperation during the Chairmanship of Georgia in the IGC TRACECA.

During the exchange of views with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, National Secretary of TRACECA – Mr. Guram Guramishvili, the significance of the country's participation in the TRACECA programme and prospects for development in the region were noted.
 
Mr. G. Guramishvili informed Mr. A. Assavbayev about economic trends, current and planned reforms, as well as about the decisions that the country has taken in order to increase transport and logistics opportunities in Georgia.

Georgia assumed the Chairmanship of the IGC TRACECA on February 10, 2023 during the Sixteenth (Anniversary) Annual Meeting of the IGC TRACECA.
