Parties to the MLA TRACECA continue work on improving the legal framework

The representatives of 11 TRACECA member countries participated in the meeting. The main objective of the discussions was to coordinate the recommendations of the MLA Parties aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the IGC TRACECA's activities.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed proposals and amendments related to the procedure of holding the meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, mechanisms for determining the timing of regular meetings, procedures for rotating the Chairman Party, and other aspects.

Following the meeting, the corresponding Minutes was prepared. The work on coordinating the proposals will continue within the framework of subsequent special meetings, considering the positions of the participating countries and with the aim of ensuring timely decision-making.

- The discussion of proposals for making amendments to TRACECA documents was initiated at the Meeting of the PS IGC TRACECA, held on December 11, 2024 in Tbilisi, Georgia, in order to improve TRACECA's activities.

- On February 18, 2025, the First Special Meeting of the National Secretaries of the PS IGC TRACECA was held to discuss amendments to some TRACECA documents.
