UzbekistanOn 12 June 2014, Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan the opening ceremony of 13 International Exhibition TransCaspian 2014: “Transport, Transit and Logistics” was held in the Baku Expo-Center
TransCaspian Exhibition became an important transport forum in the region, a principal platform to discuss the most urgent issues of the transport sector, the development of new information interactive systems of various transport modes, transit and logistics in the global market of transport-logistics services. This platform presents the 4th Caspian International Exhibition of road infrastructure and public transport “Road and Traffic” 2014.
The opening ceremony of TransCaspian 2014 was attended by Mr. Musa Panakhov, Deputy Minister of Transport, representatives of the Embassies of the MLA TRACECA member states, transport operators, companies, organizations, sector structures from Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Georgia, China, Latvia, Russia, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, mass media representatives, invited guests and many others.
Along with commercial companies there are presented pavilions of state companies, including the Railways of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company, the Baku International Sea Trade Port, the Baku Underground. The Russian Maritime Register in Azerbaijan and the representatives of main sector structures also take part in this Exhibition.
The TransCaspian presents a large number exhibits devoted to railway transport, sea and river ports, airports, mail and messenger service and shipbuilding sector, logistics supplemented with the proposals of financial and customs services and many other transport enterprises. The visitors can get acquainted with providers of multimodal services within the framework within the Great Silk Road, consider the most beneficial routes for freight traffic between the ports of Baku, Aktau and Turkmenbashi.
It is necessary to note that the exhibition TransCaspian since its foundation has been cooperating closely with the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan receiving as well their support.
The International Exhibition TransCaspian 2014: “Transport, transit and logistics” will last till 14 June 2014.
