Next meeting of the Working Group to finalize documents on the establishment of the TRACECA Fund

The Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA, Mr. A. A. Assavbayev, informed the participants about the decisions made within the framework of the fifth meeting of the Working Group on paragraph 9 of Article 6 of the draft Rules of Operation of the Fund, as well as simplification of the decision-making procedure.

During the meeting, the participating countries discussed items 4 and 13 of the Comparative Table regarding the distribution of funds and voting rights in project financing, respectively. The meeting participants expressed support for the changes made to item 13 of the Comparative Table at the proposal of the Türkiye Party. However, a single decision on item 4 of the Comparative Table was not reached at this stage due to the lack of consensus between the Parties.

Regarding item 8 of the Comparative Table, the participants agreed that each member of the Steering Committee would have 1 vote, and members of the Fund's Steering Committee would perform their functions free of charge, unless otherwise provided by the decision of the TRACECA Fund Steering Committee.

Thus, following the meeting, it was decided to discuss item 4 of the Comparative Table within the framework of the upcoming meeting of the Working Group in order to complete the finalization of the draft Rules for its further consideration at the Meeting of the Permanent Secretariat and approval by the IGC TRACECA.
