UzbekistanNational plans and strategies of TRACECA countries coincide with the future Strategy
On 20 May 2015 at the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Mircea Ciopraga, Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA met with Mr. Asset Asavbayev, Chairman of the Committee of Transport, Mr. Dauren Sabitov, Director of Transit and Transport Logistics Development Department, and Mr. Kayriden Nurkenov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Transport and other representatives of the Ministry.
Parties discussed the work carried out in the framework of TRACECA ongoing and completed technical assistance projects, investments and continuation of ongoing projects as well as further plan of activities.
During the meeting, participants of the meeting emphasized the role and support of the current "TRACECA Maritime Safety and Security II» project on the preparation of Kazakhstan as TRACECA member country to the IMO audit and the establishment of the Audit Maritime Administration.
It was also mentioned that at the moment the work already began on the implementation of the "Plan for the nation - 100 concrete steps to implement the five institutional reforms." In addition, for the purposes of the effective implementation of the program the urgency of using the "LOGMOS" Master Plan was stressed.
Parties also exchanged views on the issues of the creation of a multimodal transport corridor "Eurasian transcontinental corridor" in the framework of the "100 steps", which will allow for the free transit of goods from Asia to Europe through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the member-countries of the IGC TRACECA.
