The TRACECA award ceremony was held in honor of Anniversary Meeting

On February 10, 2023, the first TRACECA awarding was held as part of a solemn ceremony during the Sixteenth Annual Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.

Within the ceremony, Mr. Guramishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, was invited to the award ceremony on stage. The newly re-elected Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA, Mr. A.Assavbayev expressed gratitude and the contribution of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia to the development of the TRACECA international transport corridor, as well as the organization of the 16th Annual Meeting of the IGC TRACECA.

Firstly, the award ceremony was attended by Deputy Ministers, National Secretaries, members of the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA, as well as participants of the IGC Meeting, previously agreed with the TRACECA countries and approved by the IGC Chairman. The list of awardees is provided below:

    ·         Saidmurodzoda Shoista (Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan);
    ·         Abdusamat Muminov (Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan);
    ·         Rufat Bayramov (National Secretary in the Republic of Azerbaijan);
    ·         Armen Simonyan (Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, National Secretary in the Republic of Armenia);
    ·         Dimitar Savov (Director, “National Transport Policy” Directorate, Ministry of Transport and Communications, National Secretary in the Republic of Bulgaria);
    ·         Guram Guramishvili (Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, National Secretary in Georgia);
    ·         Amin Taraffo (General Director of Bureau of Commercialization and Associations Affairs, Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, National Secretary in the Islamic Republic of Iran);
    ·         Rustan Jenalinov (National Secretary in the Republic of Kazakhstan);
    ·         Adylbek Akmatov (Head of Automobile and Rail Transport Department, Ministry of Transport and Communications National Secretary in the Kyrgyz Republic);
    ·         Tatiana Spatari (National Secretary in the Republic of Moldova);
    ·         Maria Magdalena Grigore (National Secretary in Romania);
    ·         Farida Yokubzoda (National Secretary in the Republic of Tajikistan);
    ·         Maiia Yanovska (National Secretary in Ukraine);
    ·         Samira Rafizade (Head of International and Internal Affairs Division, PS IGC TRACECA);
    ·         Ivanka Georgieva (Head of International Bilateral and Regional Cooperation Department, Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria, TRACECA National Expert);
    ·         Ketevan Salukvadze (Head of Transport and Logistics Development Policy Department, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia);
    ·         Selim Kuanyshuly (Head of the Automobile Transport Department of the Transport Committee, Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan);
    ·         Gaidar Abdikerimov (Secretary General – Trans-Caspian International Transport Route);
    ·         Bekzad Kholmatov (Director of the Center for the Study of transport problems under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

    At the conclusion of the award ceremony and the 16th Meeting, Mr. Guramishvili thanked all the participants and organizers of the Meeting for their assistance and wished success in the extremely responsible work to preserve and enhance the role of the TRACECA corridor aimed at developing trade and transport connectivity.


    For reference:

    -The first document on the TRACECA Awards Rules, which defines a unified procedure and principles for awarding, including the issues of deprivation of awards, was reviewed and approved as a result of the Fifteenth Annual Meeting of the IGC TRACECA. TRACECA awards are medals and badges, which are also a form of encouragement and stimulation of work for certain achievements and merits.

    -The first TRACECA awarding was an important moment for the entire transport community and will serve as an incentive to promote innovation and improve transportation along the transport corridor in the future.
