The customs authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The customs authorities of Kazakhstan were organized in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 12, 1991 "on the formation of the customs Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which was created in the interests of economic security of the state and economic development, collection of customs duties and taxes, combating smuggling and violations of customs rules.

By the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 14, 2014 №933 "on the departments of the Central Executive bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan" the state revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan was formed.

The state revenue Committee carries out within the competence regulatory, implementation and control functions in the field of customs, to ensure the completeness and timeliness of tax revenues of customs and other mandatory payments to the budget, as well as participate in the implementation of policy in the field of customs, participate in the development and implementation of customs regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan relations related to the movement of goods across the customs border of the Eurasian economic Union under customs control, temporary storage, customs Declaration. , release and use in accordance with customs procedures.

Customs authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan are state revenue bodies within their competence, carrying out the implementation of customs Affairs in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as performing other powers provided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter-the customs authorities).

The system of customs authorities consists of:

1) Аuthorized body;

2) Territorial customs authorities by regions, cities of Astana and Almaty (hereinafter-territorial customs authorities)

3) Customs

4) Customs posts

5) Checkpoints at the customs border of the Eurasian economic Union (or) places of customs operations;

6) Specialized state institutions.
