Along with the sea and rail transport, Azerbaijan has managed to develop an air transport system. Today, the Baku Cargo Terminal with a capacity of 25,000 m2 is the largest in the CIS region. The terminal provides a wide range of cargo transportation services. The platform covers an area of 163.00 m2 and can accommodate 4 Boeing cargo aircraft. The existing cargo air fleet consists of 12 aircrafts - 7 Boeing 747 and 5 IL-76.5

5 of the country's 7 airports operate as international airlines.
