11th Annual Meeting of the IGC TRACECA

On 29 January 2015 the Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) TRACECA will be held in Istanbul (the Republic of Turkey). The Meeting will be attended by official Governments’ representatives of the Parties’ to the “Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for Development of the Europe-the Caucasus-Asia Corridor” (MLA), Permanent Representatives (National Secretaries) of the Permanent Secretariat (PS) TRACECA in the MLA member states, Permanent Observer of the Republic of Lithuania in the IGC TRACECA, representatives of the European Commission, Team Leaders of the TRACECA Projects, representatives of international organizations and TRACECA partners.

Within the framework of the Agenda of the IGC Meeting there will be considered the issues of development of the international transport corridor TRACECA for the period of the presidency of Tajikistan in the IGC TRACECA, the progress of the implementation of the Strategy of the IGC TRACECA for development of the corridor by the MLA states-participants in 2013-2015, measures for the implementation of the Concept of Development of International Road Traffic.

The Intergovernmental Commission will discuss the progress of implementation of the EU-TRACECA Technical Assistance Projects for the past period, in particular of the Projects “Transport Dialogue and Networks Interoperability II” (IDEA II), “Land Transport Safety and Security II”, “Civil Aviation II”, as well as the TRACECA Project "Maritime Safety and Security II".  

During the Meeting it is planned to sign the Technical Annex to the Basic Multilateral Agreement on Fundamental Principles of Railway-Ferry Terminals Operation on the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, Agreement on the Establishment of the International Arbitration Court TRACECA and creation of the TRACECA Multilateral Permits system.
 
At the Meeting there will be held the procedure of handing-over the presidency in the IGC TRACECA from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Turkey, signing of the Final Resolutions of the Eleventh Annual Meeting (Conference) of the IGC TRACECA and adoption of the Istanbul Declaration.
