Working visit of the Secretary General to National Secretariat of TRACECA in Romania

The Parties discussed the further development, issues of cooperation and plan of activities in view of the new priorities of TRACECA regarding the transformation info international organization.

Mr. Ciopraga has briefed Mr. Grigore about his intention to receive official comments and proposals from each of TRACECA member-country.

Over time TRACECA has matured from a technical project to an instrument for economic development of its participating countries. In the course of its 21 years of existence, the corridor has moved from being a political vision to becoming a transnational transport corridor with concrete operations and actions.

In this regard, parties of the meeting exchanged ideas and underlined the necessity of ensuring sustainable development and taking practical steps accordingly. Particularly, the Working Group meeting on TRACECA new status as international organization are to be held at short notice.

Ms. Grigore assured Secretary General in provision of legal support from Romanian side on the issue of TRACECA further institutional development.
 
Modernization of national projects, programmes, outlook and image for the future were in the focus of discussion.

On the outcomes of the meeting, parties agreed to continue detailed discussion during official visit of Ms. Grigore to TRACECA Headquarter.
