“Strengthening of interregional dialogue will promote trade transport connections at all levels”, mentioned by Mr. Vassilis Maragos, Head of Unit (Regional Programmes Neighbourhood East)

Parties exchanged views on the outlook of cooperation between related transport Directorate Generals of European Commission and further development of the dialogue for the benefit of TRACECA member-states.

Mr. Ciopraga and Mr. Maragos discussed implemented EU-TRACECA technical and investment projects in the field of maritime and road transport, as well as aviation, including capacity building, transport dialogue, border management, etc.

During discussion Mr. Maragos mentioned that European Commission do not disengage TRACECA projects. However, Mr. Maragos expressed hope that European Commission will create opportunities for further implementation of TRACECA pilot and project activities in accordance with specific challenges and needs of all TRACECA member-countries.
