TRACECA input to the Seminar, organized by Korea Transport Institute (KOTI)

During the Seminar, Mr. Ciopraga stressed the main points and directions of current development of TRACECA in the region.

Within the presentation, it was also stated that the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA carries out a targeted activity on the implementation of the Strategy for development of the international transport corridor Europe-the Caucasus-Asia aimed at effective use of the advantages of the geographic situation and economic potentials of the TRACECA corridor.

Representatives the KOTI and Mr. Ciopraga exchanged views on the possibility to broaden cooperation and share experiences. The aspiration to a dynamic growth of international trade volumes is a stimulus for the activity aimed at the optimization, growth of effectiveness of traffic and ensuring safety, security and sustainability of the traffic in the region.

In the framework of discussion, Mr. Ciopraga and representative of KOTI stressed the possibility to launch mutually beneficial cooperation using the method of signature Memorandum of Understanding between TRACECA and KOTI. Negotiations are to be continued.
