On the way to practical implementation of the Global Transit Document (GTrD)…

Among the participants of the WG were representatives of state bodies, customs services of the TRACECA MLA member states - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the WG Meeting covered discussions and information on key issues, including the results of the UN Conference in Turkmenistan and the inauguration of the GTrD Pilot Project on August 17, 2022, the training program and the "Technical Agreement with TradeLens", information about the unified Center for the management of the Pilot Project and the procedure for organizing the collection and processing of incoming information incl. development of a special project website, programming interface (API) and informational work on processing incoming information, etc.

ICTD representatives informed that the programme of training on the Tradelens platform for potential participants of pilot transportation includes 4 trainings. During the WG, a schedule of trainings was presented to the participants, the first of which will take place on October 7, 2022 and will last until October 12. The training course will be held in an online format of 8 hours for each country, broken down into several training blocks.

During the meeting, the representative of the Republic of Tajikistan informed the participants about the upcoming International Scientific and Practical Conference "Logistics and its advantages in the development of transport communications of Tajikistan with the states of the region", which will be held on October 18-19, 2022. Ahead of the Conference, on October 17 this year, it is planned to hold a launch ceremony of GTrD pilot transportation.

 The next Fourth Meeting of the Working Group is tentatively scheduled for January 2023, during which the results of the first GTrD pilot transportation will be considered.
