On 9 March 2022, in Baku, Azerbaijan, at the Headquarters of the PS IGC TRACECA a meeting between A.A. Assavbayev, the Secretary General and E.S. Absatov, the Director General of the Transport Workers’ Union of Kazakhstan “KAZLOGISTICS” was held

The parties agreed to make a demonstration of the corridor routes for the carriers of the Central Asian countries in order to increase the carriers' awareness of the infrastructure and the transportation procedure. This, in turn, will contribute to an increase in the volume of cargo transported through the territories of the TRACECA countries in the future perspective.

The Permanent Secretariat expressed its interest and willingness to organize a road-show to familiarize the participants with the projects and initiatives that are being developed to facilitate road transport and - the obstacles faced by carriers. In addition, this event will be a logical continuation of the virtual session on the development of road transport, which took place on 16 May 2021.

At the same time, an exchange of views took place on the on-going initiatives, completed and   planned pilot projects, including the draft STP Agreement, e-CMR, e-TIR, GTrD and the TRACECA Multilateral Permits System.
