On 5 November 2015 on the invitation of Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General the economic delegation of US Embassy in Baku visited TRACECA Headquarter

The purpose of a meeting consisted in introduction and discussion of the priority issues of TRACECA and its possibility in increasing of competitiveness of the TRACECA Corridor.

At the meeting the Parties discussed trade and economic situation in the region and the issues of cargo transportation along the TRACECA Corridor.

Mr. Ciopraga has briefly presented to the participants of the meeting the latest activities of TRACECA, future vision and plans. In particular, they discussed the implementation of multilateral «TRACECA permits» and the benefits of its issuance.

Discussion also touched the issues of the implementation of technical assistance projects funded by European Commission, issues of harmonization, border crossing procedures and further possibilities on the financing of new investments and infrastructure projects in TRACECA member-states.
