UzbekistanOn 3rd May 2016, delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan met with Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General
The main subject of the meeting concentrated on the discussion between Mr. Ikramov, National Secretary of TRACECA in Uzbekistan and Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General regarding the active involvement of Uzbekistan to TRACECA activities.
One of the most urgent cases is the issue of next Presidency in the IGC TRACECA in the upcoming 2017. Mr. Ikramov informed Mr. Ciopraga that this issue is under consideration of the related authorities and the final outcomes will be presented during the IGC in Ukraine to be held on 1 June 2016.
During the meeting, Mr. Ikramov interested in the further step-by-step procedures of the Chair country in the IGC TRACECA and Mr. Ciopraga assured NS of Uzbekistan in his assistance and further detailed communication in this regard.
At the same time, the issues of the status of accession of Afghanistan to the IGC TRACECA, requests from interested countries for observer status and membership in the IGC were in the Agenda of the meeting.
