On 25 August 2021, in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Meeting of the Permanent Representatives (National Secretaries) of the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA was held via web-conference

The Agenda of the Meeting included the exchange of views among the MLA TRACECA member states on 7 main issues, in particular on the realization of the Action Plan for 2018-2021 for implementation of the Strategy of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA for development of the international transport corridor Europe-the Caucasus-Asia for 2016-2026, Concept for the Development of Container Transport up to 2030, draft Rules for formation and execution of the budget of the PS IGC TRACECA, etc.      

The Meeting approved the Report on the realization of the Action Plan for 2018-2021 for implementation of the Strategy and considered the draft of the Action Plan for 2022-2026. The drafts of these documents will be submitted for consideration to the IGC Meeting.   

Along with this, the National Secretaries and participants of the Meeting considered and unanimously approved the Information on the progress of the realization of the priority actions by the MLA Parties for the implementation of the TRACECA Regional Action Strategy on Maritime Safety and Security and Environmental Protection for the period up to 2021, as well as the outcome of functioning of the TRACECA permits system for international road traffic in 2020.

Besides, the Meeting participants supported the draft Concept for the Development of   Container Transport up to 2030, and recommended that the document be submitted for approval at the IGC TRACECA Meeting.

Considering the current situation with the pandemic, during the meeting, the Bulgarian Party informed about its readiness to hold an online Meeting of the IGC TRACECA on October 21, 2021. In the near future, appropriate invitations will be sent to the MLA Parties and other invited persons.

It should be noted that at present the Chairman of the IGC TRACECA is the Azerbaijani Party.  

The results of the agreements in the format of the Final Recommendations were adopted during the Meeting and will be sent to the MLA TRACECA member states for further implementation.
