On 21st February 2017, Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Omelyan, Chairman of the IGC TRACECA, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine within Ministerial Meeting of the UNECE

For 70 years the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) has been continuously working with governments, industry and policy makers to promote sustainable transport which is safe, clean and competitive, through the development of freight and personal mobility by inland transport modes, by improving traffic safety, environmental performance, energy efficiency, inland transport security and efficient service provision in the transport sector.

Within the Ministerial Meeting, Mr. Mircea Ciopraga, Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA met with H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Omelyan, Chairman of the IGC TRACECA and Minister of Infrastructure expressed his warm congratulations for the interesting speech regarding digitalization of transport industry and good relation in the TRACECA activity.

Taking into account long-term cooperation of PS IGC TRACECA and UNECE in transport field, Mr. Ciorpaga and H.E. Mr. Omelyan emphasized the importance of the involvement in the regional and interregional initiatives and strengthening cooperation for the benefit of the international transport corridors of the Europe – the Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA).

H.E. Mr. Omelyan and Mr. Ciopraga exchanged the opinions on discussion of the project regarding the change of information of the new informatic platform.
