On 18 July 2017, upon official invitation of Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Labardini, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexican Republic to Azerbaijan visited TRACECA Headquarter

Trade and economic situation in TRACECA region as well as the issues of cargo transportation along the corridor were the main point of exchange of views. H.E. Mr. Labardini expressed his interest to the overall volume of cargo flow within the corridor year by year.

Mr. Ciopraga shared relevant information on the latest activities of TRACECA to H.E. Mr. Labardini. In particular, they discussed the implementation of multilateral «TRACECA permits» and the benefits of its issuance. 

On the one hand it would facilitate working conditions for motorists in TRACECA countries; on the other hand, it would involve TRACECA domestic market in trading competition.

The accession of new members to Agreement on Multimodal Transport TRACECA, signed in 2009 was of significant interest.

Mr. Ciopraga and H.E. Mr. Labardini exchanged views on the issues of customs and border crossing procedures among TRACECA countries as one of the important part for trade facilitation 

On the outcomes of the meeting, the Parties came to an agreement on further consideration of the possibilities of close bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
