UzbekistanOn 15 July 2015, Mr Mircea Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General was received by H.E. Suk-Inn Choi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan
The Parties of the meeting discussed the issue of the Invitation of the IGC TRACECA by H.E. Mr. Wan Koo Lee, Prime Minister and Mr. Il-ho Yoo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea to the ASEM Symposium on Eurasia Transport and Logistics Network to be held in September 2015, Seoul.
Mr. Ciopraga stressed that it is appreciated to include IGC TRACECA to the final text of Seoul Declaration to be adopted in the course of ASEM Symposium.
In addition, Mr. Ciopraga underlined the importance of South Korean support in the issue of TRACECA`s request to become a partner of Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
The Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) is an informal process of dialogue and cooperation bringing together the 28 European Union member states, 2 other European countries, and the European Union with 21 Asian countries and the ASEAN Secretariat. The ASEM dialogue addresses political, economic and cultural issues, with the objective of strengthening the relationship between our two regions, in a spirit of mutual respect and equal partnership.
The discussion was held in cordial atmosphere.
