The opening ceremony of TransCaspian/Translogistica 2019 was attended by

H.E. Mr. Ramin Guluzadeh, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Edward Strachan, Regional Director of the Caspian Event Organizers and Iteca Group, Mr. Farid Mammadov, Executive Director, Caspian Event Organizers and Iteca Caspian, Mr. Mircea Ciopraga, Secretary General of the IGC TRACECA, Mr. Akif Mustafayev, Permanent Representative (National Secretary) of the PS IGC TRACECA in the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of the Embassies of the MLA TRACECA member states, transport operators, companies, organizations, sector structures from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey, China, Ukraine and several other countries and mass media representatives, invited guests and many others. 

TransCaspian together with Road & Traffic platform, gathered on its site representatives from 75 companies from 10 countries of the world devoted to railway transport, sea and river ports, airports, mail and messenger service and shipbuilding sector, logistics supplemented with the proposals of financial and customs services and many other transport enterprises. 

It is necessary to note that TransCaspian Exhibition since its foundation has been cooperating closely with the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA receiving its support. In addition, the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA through its representatives TRACECA countries actively attracts and involves interested companies of transport complexes to participate in this Annual Exhibition.  

As part of the TransCaspian Exhibition, on June 11, a conference on the theme “Trans-Caspian international transport route” was held. Forum speakers and participants discussed such themes as “Restoring the Silk Road and its importance in the development of trade relations among states”, “The One Belt - One Way Initiative: Development Prospects”, “Azerbaijan’s Cargo Logistics Industry Development Strategy”, and “The Optimization of Freight Traffic within Potential Routes”.

At the same time within the business programme, the exhibition was also the platform for bilateral meetings between participants and major local companies to discuss the most urgent issues of the transport sector, the development of new information interactive systems of various transport modes, transit and logistics in the global market of transport-logistics services.
 
Along with commercial companies TransCaspian 2019 presented pavilions of state transport structures such as, including the Azerbaijan Railways JSC, Baku International Trade Sea Port the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company, State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport and the State Automobile Transport Service. 

The International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition TransCaspian 2019 will last till 13 June 2019.
