UzbekistanOn 10th May 2016, representatives of the National Company "Maritime Ports Administration - Constanta" made a visit to TRACECA Headquarter
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ciorpaga, Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA, Mr. Valeriu Nicolae Ionescu, Director General of the Constanta Port, Mr. Alexandru Craciun, Commercial Director of the Constanta Port, Mrs. Simona Lascu, Representative of Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Nazim Mammadov, Maritime Expert of the PS IGC TRACECA and Mr. Anar Ismayil, Land Transport Expert of the PS IGC TRACECA.
Mr. Ciopraga, TRACECA Secretary General welcomed the guests and announced its readiness to provide the necessary support to the efforts of the Romanian transport operators, with a view to the development of international traffic between Europe and Asia.
The meeting discussed and addressed issues of mutual interest, particularly the development of multimodal and intermodal transport, as well as the necessary steps to simplify and minimize the barriers on the way of transit cargo, the state of the transport infrastructure port of Constanta (Romania), and the possibility of TRACECA in general.
The delegation informed Mr. Ciopraga on the priorities of the current port development, plans and prospects for the upcoming future.
Constanta port is interested in enhancing the overall effort to attract goods from the Asian region for ITC TRACECA, and to this end, ready to make the necessary joint research with stakeholders to implement specific marketing projects.
