Attraction of new members to TRACECA is one of the major possibilities of successful development

Within the 28th Annual Session of Crans Montana Forum, Mr. Ciopraga and H.E. Mrs. Preca had an opportunity to exchange views on the recent activities of TRACECA and investment projects of the member-states of the MLA TRACECA. 

Mr. Ciopraga made brief introduction to H.E. Mrs. Preca on TRACECA activity and its benefits for its member states in the corridor and for whole region. 

Although Malta geographically is a bit far from TRACECA region, broadening of cooperation in the field of trade and transport between the TRACECA countries and those of the South Mediterranean and the Middle East is of common interest in the context of growing potential of economic and social development, mutual trade and tourism, strengthening of peace and stability, as well as growth in prosperity in the region. 

The TRACECA Secretary General discussed mutually beneficial opportunities between both parties and suggested to H.E. Mrs. Preca to consider the possibility and to accept the invitation to become a member or to be involved in the activities of the IGC TRACECA as an observer.
