Attraction of investments is one of the major possibilities of successful development

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss trade and economic situation in the TRACECA region.

The Parties exchanged views on the recent activities of TRACECA and investment projects of the member-states of the MLA TRACECA. Mr. Jorquera informed Mr. Ciopraga about the interest in the attraction of Argentinean investors to the TRACECA region. It was also mentioned that Argentina could be an effective investor with a large assets base for the TRACECA region.

During the meeting Mr. Jorquera expressed his intention on possible involvement of Argentina as observer to the IGC TRACECA. Discussions on this issue are to be continued.

Mr. Gabriel Jorquera, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic to Azerbaijan also met with Mr. Akif Mustafayev, National Secretary of the IGC TRACECA in Azerbaijan. Mr. Jorquera noted that the discussions touched the economic possibilities of Azerbaijan and its role in the TRACECA region.

The Parties came to an agreement on further consideration of the possibilities of close bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
