Virtual session on "Increasing the competitiveness of international rail transport in the framework of TRACECA"

On 02 June 2021 at 12.00 (GMT+4), the Permanent Secretariat plans to hold discussions with the participation of stakeholders from countries of Europe and Asia in the framework of the virtual session on "Increasing the competitiveness of international rail transport in the framework of TRACECA».

The main purpose of this event is to discuss the prospects for the development of container transport, to establish contacts between carriers and major exporters/importers, as well as to improve the transportation conditions on TRACECA routes by identifying problematic issues.

The potential participants are the representatives of the International Union of Railways, the World Bank, ALE "IA"TITR", railway administrations, national associations of carriers, logistics companies and freight forwarders, as well as seaports and shipping companies of member-states of the TRACECA corridor and the People's Republic of China.

At the same time, a number of representatives of the Chinese Party confirmed their participation and expressed interest in carrying out transportations.

The Permanent Secretariat expects participation of the national carriers and associations, logistics companies and freight forwarders, seaports and shipping companies in the virtual session and making an intervention (presentation) to the participants of the event.
