As a Party to the Basic Multilateral Agreement, main convention Bulgaria established their national structures to assist the implementation of the MLA and overall activity under the TRACECA program.

The State-Public Consultative Commission TRACECA was established with Decree № 135 of the Council of Ministers from 19 July 2000 (SG 62 of 28.07.2000). The commission includes representatives of relevant ministries and other institutions and organizations. Chairman of DOKK TRACECA is the Minister of Transport.

The Minister of Transport appoints the National Secretary of TRACECA for Bulgaria, which works closely with the Permanent Secretariat in Baku and national secretaries from other countries.
