On 17 February 2011, in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the working meeting was held between the Secretary General and the representatives of the European Commission

At the meeting the parties exchanged views on cooperation of the Permanent Secretariat of IGC TRACECA with the European Commission as well as on the visit of Mr. Henrik Hololei, the Head of Cabinet of Vice President Siim Kallas of the European Commission, responsible for transport.

During the meeting parties also discussed the possibility of training and assessment of new projects based on the necessities to TRACECA countries in different transport modes, as well as the implementation of priority projects submitted to the first investment forum, and joint work on the preparation for the Second Investment Forum, planned for 2012. 

Participants discussed the prospects for further development of the
corridor, the institutional structures to improve the IGC TRACECA, as well as the implementation of the Strategy of the IGC TRACECA for the development of international transport corridor.
