TRACECA annually supports the holding of the Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition in order to establish partnerships and search for new opportunities for cooperation in the region

Representatives of countries such as Azerbaijan, France, Türkiye, Latvia, Germany, the USA, Ukraine, Switzerland, etc., as well as leading heads of key international organizations and logistics companies took part in the opening and work of the Baku Energy Week, which unites several events of the transport industry.

As part of the opening ceremony, Mr. Asset Assavbayev, Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat (PS) of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) TRACECA, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. During his address, Mr. A.A. Assavbayev noted the importance of the annual holding of the Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition "proved itself as a leading transport event, annually providing an effective platform for discussing pressing and significant issues on the development of the transport industry, as well as facilitating dialogue between representatives of government agencies and the business community."

On June 05,2024, as part of the panel discussions, presentations were made on topics such as digital customs support mechanisms in fast and safe logistics, artificial intelligence in the energy sector, ensuring radiation safety during the transportation of radioactive substances, etc. Speakers from public and private institutions of Azerbaijan also made an important contribution to the discussion of various projects within the framework of the panel discussions.

The exchange of experience, discussion of the most effective approaches and the development of joint strategies have become key steps towards promoting the development of transport infrastructure and ensuring its sustainability in the future.

Considering the importance of this event, "The Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA, which is the official support party of the exhibition, will continue to assist in bringing together various stakeholders at the exhibition in order to establish partnerships and find new opportunities for cooperation," said Mr. Asset Assavbayev, Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA in a welcoming address to participants and guests of the exhibition.

The PS IGC TRACECA constantly confirms its readiness to actively participate in promoting the development of logistics solutions and the successful implementation of joint initiatives, as well as to provide its own experience and expertise in the field of logistics on the way to achieving common goals.
