Tajikistan. Updated. Regime of cargo transportation in terms of COVID 19 pandemics as of 08 April 2020

According to the adopted provisional procedure, international freight vehicles and their drivers are allowed to enter the active border terminals, in case of lack of such terminals - to the customs control zones of border posts of the state border where customs clearance is performed.

If international freight vehicles have a removable trailer and semi-trailer, the delivery of imported goods from the border to the destination will be carried out by domestic carriers. Trailers and semi-trailers will be returned for customs control to the customs control zone of border customs posts or border terminals.

In exceptional cases, by prior arrangement, the movement of freight vehicles in the Republic of Tajikistan with special-purpose cargoes for strategic state facilities, as well as with humanitarian cargoes, will be accompanied by escort to destinations.

International transit traffic through the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan will be carried out with customs escort by authorized bodies using separate vehicles in agreement with the officials responsible for the sanitary and epidemiological situation.

Customs clearance of transported goods, with the exception of goods transported by trailers and semi-trailers, will be carried out at border terminals.

When international freight vehicles and their drivers enter the border checkpoints and border terminals, the responsible persons of the relevant structures of the Republic of Tajikistan will take all the necessary measures in order to prevent the entry and prevention of the threat of the spread of coronavirus disease.

This order is temporary and once the epidemiological situation normalizes, it will be canceled.
