Tajikistan ratified Agreement on development of multimodal transport

The Ministry of Foregn Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has officially informed the Permanent Secretariat of the IGC TRACECA that the Tajik side had implemented the necessary internal procedures required for the Agreement on development of multimodal transport TRACECA to come into force.

On 16 June 2009, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, during the 7th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA, the MLA Parties adopted the Agreement on Development of Multimodal Transport TRACECA. The countries that signed the Agreement are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Georgia. So far the Agreement has been ratified by two countries – Tajikistan and Georgia.
