The meeting was also attended by Viktor Dovhan, the National Secretary of the PS IGC TRACECA in Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and PS IGC TRACECA.

Within the framework of the Agenda of the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the TRACECA corridor, outlined plans, new initiatives, developed projects and other issues.

At the same time, the Secretary General and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure discussed the possibility of increasing the annual quota of TRACECA permits from 200 to 1000 units for the implementation of road freight transport in order to increase the competitiveness of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia corridor.

In addition, in the framework of the web-conference Forsyuk N.V. and Assavbaev A.A. discussed the implementation of a Single transit permit (STP) TRACECA. Such an electronic document will give the right to the road carrier to carry out transit traffic within the TRACECA corridor without obtaining a separate transit permit. The Ukrainian side is ready to assist in this matter.

During the exchange of views and for the realization of joint technical assistance projects, the Deputy Minister for European Integration proposed to expand cooperation with the European Commission in the implementation of the provisions of the European Green Deal concept, where the EC stimulates the transition to a more ecological mode of transport.

Technical Assistance projects should relate to the development of infrastructure of all TRACECA member countries and in this context, Ukraine is ready to make every effort as a member country of the MLA TRACECA.

As part of the discussions between Assavbaev and Dovhan on the development of piggyback transportation in Ukraine, the National Secretary informed that LISKI company, a branch of the Public Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Railways (PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia), with a private port TIS, had positive experience in this field. The National Secretary of Ukraine confirmed its readiness to share best practices and to contribute on its part at any level of discussions with the involved parties.
