Kazakhstan. Updated. The regime of cargo transportation in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic as of April 14, 2020

On April 14, 2020, Kazakhstan imposed a ban on the transit of freight transport to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

According to the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus disease in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, measures were taken to prohibit the transit through the territory of the country of foreign citizens and freight vehicles from other countries following to third countries in which a ban on entry was established.

Countries with a ban on entry are Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

In addition, a ban has been introduced on the movement at the “Aisha Bibi” and “Karasu” automobile checkpoints (Kazakh-Kyrgyz border, Jambyl region) of all categories of persons and vehicles, with the exception of the permit from 10.00 to 19.00 freight transit vehicle.

The ban does not apply to diplomatic personnel and courier service employees.
