Course on the training of internal auditors to the IMO Audit Scheme (IMSAS)

The European Union (EU) funded TRACECA Maritime Safety and Security II Project within its Activity 2.6 has conducted the Course on the training if internal auditors to the IMO Audit Scheme (IMSAS) that was organised in Kiev, Ukraine, from Tuesday 30 June to Thursday 2d July 2015.

The objective of the Course was to:

- provide updated information on the IMSAS;

- prepare participants to the Audit process;

- train auditors who will then be able to carry out internal assessments of the performance of their governmental authorities and provide recommendations;

- exchange experiences on the Audit process.

The Course was aimed at maritime affairs officials of the project's direct beneficiary countries.
