TRACECA strives to find potential opportunities of mutual interest and cooperation with the Port of Antwerp
This is evidenced by the outcomes of the meeting on November 17, 2021, held between Mr. Nico Suys, representative of the Port of Antwerp International, and Ms. Leila Batyrbekova, Representative-Adviser of TRACECA in EU.
The Parties exchanged views on problematic issues of cargo transportation between Europe and Asia, as well as the current state of transportation by sea and land transport in 2021.
The participants of the meeting shared mutual development plans and touched upon a number of issues that require additional study by the Parties to further build a dialogue.
The subject of discussions was also the possibility of effective cooperation within workshops for specialists of the TRACECA corridor member states in the field of digitalization, sustainable development and environmental issues, given the experience of Port of Antwerp International.
The authority and international significance of the port raise hopes for active joint cooperation in the Caspian and Black Seas region.
