Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA – Guest of Honour at the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum

The Forum, organised by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) in partnership with the reputable European think tank The European House – Ambrosetti & TEHA Group, became a key platform for global economic dialogue. Dedicated to the theme “Rebuilding Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability”, the event brought together senior officials of various states, leading global investors, heads of development institutions and major business leaders.

During the panel discussions, the TRACECA delegates focused particular attention on the strategic sessions devoted to the development of regional connectivity and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, the prospects for the development of the Middle Corridor (TITR), as well as artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Representatives of the Permanent Secretariat took an active part in the discussion of the modernisation of transport infrastructure, the digital transformation of logistics processes, the deployment of artificial intelligence technologies and the elimination of cross-border administrative barriers along key Eurasian routes.

The extensive work of the Forum resulted in the signing of 23 strategic documents and agreements on investment projects totalling USD 10.8 billion. The agreements concluded cover such critically important areas as artificial intelligence, energy, including renewable energy, the digital economy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance and water management.

Participation in AIIF 2026 enabled the TRACECA delegation to strengthen institutional dialogue with international investors and to align the priorities of interregional partnership for attracting long-term capital into the transport sector of the Europe-the Caucasus-Asia corridor.

The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) is a leading global platform aimed at showcasing Azerbaijan’s open and sustainable business environment and presenting large-scale projects in priority sectors of the economy. Held once every two years, the platform serves as a catalyst for creating new cross-border production chains and strengthening the position of the South Caucasus as a logistics hub between East and West.
